What does the B2B-only affirmation mean?
DataDingo provides data about Australian businesses, drawn from public registers like the ABR and ASIC. When you check the “B2B-only” box at signup you’re agreeing that you’ll only use DataDingo to reach businesses, not individuals.
What you can do
- Look up companies by ABN, name, or website.
- Enrich CRM records for B2B accounts you sell to.
- Build agents, copilots, or workflows that act on business data.
- Contact role addresses or main business numbers for legitimate B2B purposes, with appropriate consent and unsubscribe handling under the Spam Act 2003.
What you can’t do
- Send unsolicited consumer marketing (email, SMS, calls).
- Contact numbers registered on the Do Not Call Register for marketing.
- Build a consumer people-search tool.
- Sell or redistribute DataDingo data as a consumer product.
- Identify sole traders or individuals for non-business purposes.
Why we ask
Australian law (the Privacy Act, the Spam Act 2003, and the Do Not Call Register Act 2006) draws a sharp line between business-to-business contact and consumer contact. DataDingo’s data and pricing are designed for the B2B side of that line. The affirmation makes the user’s intended use explicit and binding, and lets us offer features (contact data tiers, bulk export, etc.) that wouldn’t be safe without it.
